Central Library floor closures over the summer

There will be floor closures in the Central Library over the summer due to the Single Book Sequence project. Information on which floors will be closed and when is as follows:

  • Level 2 will be closed from Friday 2nd July to Friday 23rd July. This floor contains the bulk of the civil engineering & transport collection. There is also a large collection of books relating to the oil & mining industries on this floor.
  • Level 4 will be closed from Monday 2nd August until Friday 13th August. This floor contains the Earth Science collection which includes books, reports, memoirs & maps.
  • Level 5 is likely to be closed from Monday 26th July until Friday 6th August. This floor contains the business collection as well as the Haldane collection of CDs, DVDs and fiction books.

Although the individual floors will be closed the rest of the Central Library will remain open.

Please keep in mind that these closure dates are likely to change as the moves commence, but you canm keep updated by looking at the Single Book Sequence web page on the Library website
