Forthcoming change to Geology Digimap service

On Friday 17 December 2010 EDINA will withdraw the original version of Geology Maps. This has already been superceded by a new mapping facility called Geology Roam, which has been available to all registered users of the Geology Digimap service for several months.

Geology Roam offers much more functionality than the previous Geology Maps facility. Key features include the ability to decrease/increase the opacity of the geology data over the Ordnance Survey back-drop map. A single click on the map will query the geology data and display details about the bedrock and any superficial deposits found at that point.

More informationon Geology Roam is available on the Digimap blog.
